Can we compare BT1.2 with the quality of Prusa MK3?
Of course. There are all important functions for better print – adjusting the nozzle height and extrusion control during print or rather Linear Advance Setting (LA1.5).
In addition stepper motors are more precised with half step angle 0,9° which is positively displayed on surface of prints.
What about Hardware/Printer Frame
Quality Aluminium profile, Hardened guide bar 8h6 which are jointed from both sides for better rigity , linear bearings.
Plastic parts are made from PETG, printed on our 3D Printers.
Bed is rigid, on aluminium frame (AW7075 4mm – aircraft aluminium), coated by black elox.
Extruder – E3D HotEnd
We don’t have original E3D HotEnd. Extruder is based on E3D HotEnd, but we added our special know-how.
HotEnd Heatsink is our own design (CNC production in CZ) and it is designed to deflect temperature from heatblock. Thread M7 and our heatbreak are pressed together for better cooling performance.
HeatBreak is based on E3D HotEnd , we buy Heatbreak with thread and then we adjust it for our needs. Modified diameter is different for our Heatsink and it is long-term tested by us for optimal results (better retraction, cleaner print, we don’t have experiance with jammed filament never ever).
Nozzle is similar to E3D V6, for better quality print nozzle is polished. You can use nozzle E3D or another nozzle with thread M6 and length 7,5mm.
Heatblock termistor Hole is machined for better termistor fit– we use standart termistor NTC100K.
Extruderfeeding wheels are not Bondtech, but they work perfect because they are made from hardened carbon steel.
Bed + stepper motors – their origin?
We are buying from our Chinese supplier ( experienced producer of 3D Printers and accessories). Heated Bed is powered by 160w (resistance 0,9-1ohm) and it’s equipped with thermal isolating material for saving costs, faster bed heating and easier reaching of max temperature 110°C.
We would like to buy from Europe, but there are problems with the availability, with the price and also with the cooperation at all.
As already mentioned, bed is rigid (the springs are removed).
Before the first print the pad’s unevenness must be measured in advance (using office paper; setting all 9 control points) and stored in the printer's memory.
The "MESH BED LEVELLING" function is activated by the M420 S1 command, which is included in the printing programme. We recommend using settings (\ 04_Prusa_config \ BT1.X_PrusaSlicer_config_bundle.ini) for the slicer that is on the included SD card. You can simply import this setting into PrusaSlicer (instructions in the readme.txt file). Each generated programme contains a command to run this function (it prevents the material from packing onto the nozzle, and therefore cleaner and higher quality Printing).
